ROBIN HOOD

Robin Hood theatre On Thursday 13th of February the school Pins del Vallès had some visitors from England. They have prepared a Robin Hood theatre in the school gym. Staring the Sheriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood. On some scenes they would chose someone in the crowd to play games or act. Robin Hood was a generous person who would steal from the bad and give to the poor. The Sheriff of Nottingham was a rich tax collector, he takes money from the poor and keeps their money. But Robin Hood was a very clever person who had tricks up his sleeve. The Sheriff of Nottingham was in love with Lady Marian who was a maid who worked at a castle. And Robin Hood was also in love with Lady Marian. Of course Lady Marian was in love with Robin Hood because he was such a generous person. The Sheriff of Nottingham always tried to trick Robin Hood in prison. The Sheriff of Nottingham unsuccessfully failed, because Robin Hood was very intelligent. At the end of the theatre we were allowed to ask questions to the actors. READING IN PAIRS

Reading in pairs is a peer tutoring programme to improve reading comprehension and speaking in English as L2.
Pupils in Cicle Superior are carrying out this technic once a week during the second term. Bellow you've got a video with them in action.

ENGLISH PLAYS AT PINS

On Friday, as every year, IPA Productions visited us.
Pupils in year 3 and 4 watched the film Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
and pupils in year 5 and 6 attended the play Tommy and the talent thief .
They were not passive public, they interacted with the actor, danced, sang..., and at the end they ask some question to the actor. The enjoyed the plays and have a good time.

THEATRE DAY

The teachers that are taking part in the Working Group of Sant Cugat decided to dedicate the school year 2011-2012 to practise the oral skill with their pupils. And what is the best way of doing it?
